WHAT IS IT?
The
robot known as grover which stand for both Greenland rover and goddard remotely
operated vehicle for exploration and research , is six –foot –tall and weighs
about 800 pounds .it is powered entirely by solar energy, so that it can
operate in pristine polar environment without adding to air pollution .
HOW it works ?
the robot ‘s radar
sends radio wave pulsis into the ice sheet, and those waves are reflected back
from the icesheet’s buried features . the robot will roam the frigid landscape
collecting measurements to help scientist s better understand changes in the
massive ice sheet.
